01. Research
Competitive Analysis
Who can we learn from?
Doing a competitive analysis has helped me as a designer, understand how to brainstorm and implement various creative solutions to differentiate Daysi Collection Inc. from the competition. I’ve completed a list of Daysi Collection Inc.’s main competitors: Alterations Specialists, Koko Specialists, and Rosario of Westchester.
SWOT Analysis
Strength
Daysi Collections Inc. offers both clothing alterations and custom clothing designs to clients at lower price points. They can pick and choose the service they want/ need without going to another business. Customers can also buy ready-made clothing and accessories.
Opportunities
The website copy should have a personable tone and mood so customers and clients feel more connected to Mrs. Fernandez as a business owner. The website should display Daysi a person, not as a company to connect more with clients. Expressing care for customers. Make it accessible to Spanish-only speaking customers.
Weakness
The business is not easily found online. There is currently no website or organized system to book service appointments. The focus is only on women at the moment, which missing a large portion of the population. There is also no social media marketing or branding.
Threats
The main threats are companies who offer a similar service (clothing alterations or custom clothing design)
